Jaguar Land Rover India has commenced the assembly of
the petrol-powered Jaguar F-Pace. The locally manufactured SUV is on sale in
the Prestige trim with a 250 PS 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine. It
has been priced at INR 63.17 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Jaguar F-Pace was launched in India in October
2016 via the CBU route. The SUV was introduced with two engine options -
2.0-litre diesel and 3.0-litre diesel - in Pure, Prestige, and R-Sport trims.
At the moment, the luxury model is available in 2.0-litre diesel and petrol
variants only. Both models are assembled at the company's Pune-based facility.
Powering the petrol-sipping Jaguar F-Pace is a
2.0-litre Ingenium motor that outputs a maximum power of 250 PS)and a
peak torque of 365 Nm. Going by the company-claimed figures, the F-Pace is
capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds and can achieve a top
speed of 217 km/h.
In comparison, the 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine
outputs a maximum power of 179 PS along with a peak torque of 430
Nm. The diesel variant is claimed to be capable of accelerating from 0 to 100
km/h in 8.7 seconds and can hit a top speed of 208 km/h. Both the engines come
mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
The Jaguar F-Pace offers a host of features,
including Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Cabin air ionisation, Driver condition
monitor, 360-degree parking sensors, Adaptive LED Headlights, Wi-Fi Hotspot
& Pro Services, and a 10.2 inch Touch Screen infotainment system.
Additionally, the model year 2019 F-Pace offers illuminated metal treadplates,
chrome switches for the 10-way seats, suede cloth headliner and bright metal
pedals.
