M&M has rolled out a new high-end trim of the
Scorpio. On sale at an ex-showroom price of INR 13.99 lakh, the Mahindra
Scorpio S9 slots below the S11 trim but carries most of the equipment that's
available on the top-spec variant.
With the launch of the new variant, the Mahindra
Scorpio is now available in 5 trim options - S3, S5, S7, S9, and S11. The
recently introduced S9 model has been priced INR 1.14 lakh lower to the S11
trim but is INR 60,000 costlier than the S7 version.
All variants feature a 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged
diesel engine. For the S3 and S5, the motor has been tuned to output 120 bhp
and 280 Nm. It comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The S7 can be
ordered in either the lower state of tune or in a 140 hp/320 Nm version with a
6-speed manual transmission. The S9 and S11 trims are offered in the higher
power-tune with a six-speed manual transmission only. A Four Wheel Drive system
is available exclusively on the top-spec S11 trim.
The equipment list of the S9 includes static bender
projector headlamps, LED light guides, ORVMs with turn indicators, fog lamps,
hydraulic assisted bonnet, cushion suspension with anti-roll technology,
automatic climate control, dual front airbags with ABS, cornering projector
headlamps, 5.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, ORVMs with
integrated turn indicators, multifunction steering wheel, and cruise control.
