Delhi-based motorcycle builder Motokraft Customs has
modified a Royal Enfield Himalayan that will delight every 'rider-heart'. The Royal Enfield Himalayan has
been subject to various mod-jobs, from a rally-ready machine to a cafe racer.
We even brought you a Himalayan that was modified into a three-wheeled 'Rooster
Trike.' Back to Motokraft's custom Himalayan, the bike is an extension of the
builder's personality and is named 'SCRAM212.'
The brief was to design a scrambler that would stand
out from the crown while still able to maintain the dual-purpose off-road DNA
of the stock Royal Enfield Himalayan. The motorcycle features a matte black and
white paint scheme for the fuel tank and front mudguard.
Motokraft Customs have retained the chassis,
suspension and engine from the stock bike. The split-seats have been replaced
by a single-piece leather-wrapped unit. The custom Himalayan features an LED
headlamp with a headlight guard and a stubby wind deflector, while the front
and rear mudguards have been removed altogether.
The modified Royal Enfield Himalayan features a
side-mounted free-flow exhaust system, LED taillight and a leather pocket. It
comes with a custom engine bash plate as well. The stock 21/18-inch front and
rear wheel setup have been replaced with an 18-inch front and 17-inch 4.5"
wide rear wire-spoke wheels that pair with knobby off-road rubber. The
spoke-wheels receive matte black and white paint treatment. The motorcycle
features an LED taillight and a small number-plate holder at the back.
The modified Royal Enfield Himalayan uses the stock
411cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled engine with oil cooling. The
fuel-injected motor produces 24.5 bhp of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm
of peak torque at 4,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
