With its more aggressive styling, upgraded
suspension and multiple new interior and exterior components, the 2019 Roush
F-150 has been engineered to conquer trails and look good while doing it. Buyers can choose between multiple
engine and trim options to build upon, so whether you have an XLT or a Lariat
F-150 Super Crew 4WD, the Roush F-150 package will pretty much go with anything
that came out of Ford’s Dearborn factory.
The reason why this truck looks more rugged than a
regular F-150 is because it boasts additional suspension travel and a two-inch
front lift, all courtesy of a Fox 2.0 suspension kit, which not only enhances
the vehicle’s appearance, but also improves off-road capability and on-road
manners, according to Roush.
As for the wheels, they measure 20-inches in
diameter and work alongside General Grabber ATX LT305/55R20 all-terrain rubber. Other visual features include the
graphics packages, signature grille, fender flares with accent lighting, front
bumper cover, square ‘R’ hitch cover and even the optional Soft Tonneau Cover
by ExTang. Inside, there are molded floor liners by WeatherTech and a
serialized Roush console badge. At an extra cost, buyers can also get the
optional black and carbon leather upgrade, console vault and off-road utility
kit.
Meanwhile, the tuner’s dual tip cat-back Performance
exhaust system is standard on this package, although if you want, you can get
the optional premium Active Exhaust system, which uses electronic valve
technology. This enables you to switch between loud, quiet and custom modes
through either a mobile app or a console-mounted switch. By using the Roush
Active Exhaust mobile app, you can then fully control your truck’s “soundtrack”
based on rpm, vehicle speed and accelerator position.
Pricing for the kit, which is available at all
Roush-authorized Ford dealers, begins at US$ 13,450 over factory MSRP – not
including the F-150, of course.
