IAB’s artist Shoeb Kalania has imagined a Mahindra
XUV300 Adventure featuring an outdoorsy theme. The illustrated sub-compact SUV
sports a unique exterior styling and is purposed for adventure trips, and is an
original idea.
The Mahindra XUV300 Adventure carries a
wildlife-inspired yellow-black body paint and the wheels, not very different
from the colours of a cheetah. The front fascia is distinguished with black
grille slats in place of chrome inserts, additional black cladding and a unique
lower grille and faux skid plate. For the additional storage space required
during trips and adventurous outings, the SUV is equipped with a roof box
fitted on a luggage rack and the exclusive alloy wheels are wrapped in off-road
tyres.
The Mahindra XUV300 shares the X100 platform and
wheelbase (2,600 mm) with the SsangYong Tivoli. Its front-end, thanks to the
“cheetah-inspired design” makes it look like a younger sibling of the Mahindra
XUV500. At the rear, the wraparound LED combination lamps are reminiscent of
the Mahindra Alturas G4. Designers have lifted the interior straight from the
South Korean model and made some minor revisions to repurpose it for the Indian
market.
Mahindra will likely offer the XUV300 with a
1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5-litre
turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. Initially, both Mahindra engines will
send the drive to the wheels via a standard 6-speed manual transmission. A pure
electric variant is in the works with two different battery options.
