Hyundai India will soon update the Creta with new
features and revised equipment lines, a leaked internal document posted by
Team-BHP forum member BayB has revealed. Hyundai
will introduce front passenger seatbelt reminder and speed alert system in all
the equipment lines, as these are soon government mandated. In addition to the
existing E, E+, S, SX, SX Dual Tone and SX (O) grades, the company offers a new
SX (O) Executive grade that will sit at the top of the range.
The SX (O) Executive grade will include one
additional feature over the SX (O) grade - ventilated front seats. Hyundai will
offer it with the 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol engine and the 1.6-litre CRDi with
VGT diesel engine - both coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
LED tail lamps are the Creta's most common
aftermarket accessory, but not anymore. The MY2019 model will come with
factory-fitted LED tail lamps, in the SX, SX Dual Tone, SX (O) and SX (O)
Executive grades. The E, E+ and S grades will feature semi cloth seats, and
that would mean a downgrade (from full cloth seats) for the S grade.
The Eco Coating technology that had its world
premiere in the Hyundai Verna last year will make it to the premium B-SUV with
the update. It prevents unpleasant smell to develop in the AC Evaporator
ensuring the dispensation of an odour free and fresh air. All the grades will
feature Eco Coating. The SX grade will lose Cluster Ionizer, though.
The 2019 Hyundai Creta should go on sale in a few
weeks. The current model’s prices range from INR 9,50,008-15,10,034
(ex-showroom Delhi).
