Now that order
books are open, potential buyers for the new Mercedes-Benz G350d will need to
spend upwards of £ 94,000 in the UK in order to purchase their
diesel-powered German luxury SUV. In hindsight, the G350d is equipped with the
most powerful diesel engine ever to be fitted to a G-Class, with an output of
286 PS and 600 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from zero
to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and max out at 200 km/h.
Standard features
include 20-inch AMG multi-spoke wheels, LED headlights, the mirror package
(electrically adjustable and heated mirrors), leather seats, 12.3-inch cockpit
display and 12.3-inch infotainment display, ambient lighting (choice of 8
colors), AMG body styling, electrically adjustable heated front seats with
memory function, heated rear seats, keyless-go, automatic three-zone climate
control and chrome trim elements for the radiator grille.
You also get
automatic driver aids at no extra cost, such as blind spot assist, active
distance assist and active lane keeping assist. Of course, if you’d like even
more tech, then you can opt for any of the optional packages available. Take
the Premium package for example, which in return for £ 5,995 offers you
a Multibeam intelligent light system, Adaptive air suspension, Burmester sound
system, interior air ionization, ambient lighting with a choice of 64 colors,
sliding sunroof and the parking package with 360-degree camera.
Then there’s the
£ 1,700 Night package, which adds black 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloys,
darkened indicators and taillights, black radiator grille, black exterior
mirrors, heat-insulating dark-tinted glass and a black spare wheel rig.
Meanwhile, the Winter package costs £ 1,750 and offers a heated
windshield and auxiliary heater with remote. The heated steering wheel is
available together with the Winter package for £ 275.
Finally, you have
the Rear Seat Entertainment package, available for £ 2,995. It comes
with two 10-inch touchscreen displays, a digital TV tuner, integral media
player and internet access.
