BMW seems to have a hard time trying to keep the
exterior design of the revamped 7-Series a secret until its official debut. We already saw its front end
earlier this week, in what was believed to be a leaked picture, followed
shortly by a second one.
Now, BMWBlog has revealed a new set of alleged
leaked images, said to have been uploaded by a person responsible for the
online configurators. Showing the facelifted 7-Series in several configurations, believed
to be the 750Li, M760Li, M Sport and Luxury versions, they reveal the exterior
design of the luxury sedan from a couple of angles.
Dominating the front end is a massive kidney grille,
similar to the one used on the X7. New headlamps, slightly updated taillights
joinedby a light strip, and a few other touches round up the exterior makeover.
No images of the interior have been uploaded yet, but previous spy shots
revealed that the 2020 7-Series will get a new digital instrument cluster and
updated infotainment system.
It’s unknown what engines it will use, but reports
suggest it could adopt some powertrains from the 8-Series and X7. The usual
petrol units will be joined by diesels in the Euro-spec model, while the PHEV
and M760Li might be updated.
The website claims that BMW might pull the covers
off the revamped 7-Series next week, and it’s very likely that it will make its
public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
