A very powerful
Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe is AutoDynamics’ latest project. Christened Project
Inferno, this super-SUV benefits from a number of engine upgrades such as
custom turbochargers, ECU remap and a new exhaust system.
The result is a
massive 806 PS and 1,181 Nm of torque. From
naught to 100 km/h, this GLE 63 S Coupe needs only 3.25 seconds, and
it hits a top speed of 336 km/h.
That’s
approximately 1 second faster than the stock GLE 63S Coupe, which also has an
electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, or 280 km/h with the optional AMG Driver’s Package. The standard bi-turbo 5.5-liter V8
engine produces 585 PS and 760 Nm of torque,
channeled to both axles through a 7-speed automatic gearbox tuned by AMG.
This Mercedes-AMG
GLE 63 S Coupe has been fitted with a TopCar body kit as well as 23-inch rims
from Vossen, shod in 295/35 front and 335/30 rear tires, and a new suspension
by Brabus. While tuners continue to work their magic on the current Mercedes
GLE, the automaker is developing an entirely new generation. It should launch
sometime next year with the usual petrol and diesel engines, while the AMG GLE
53 Coupe will be powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8.
