Mercedes-Benz has
launched the V-Class in India with prices starting at INR 68.40 lakh*. This is
the three-pointed star’s first launch in 2019, the year in which it will
celebrate its 25th anniversary in the country.
Mercedes-Benz makes
the V-Class in three lengths: compact (4,895 mm), long (5,140 mm) and
extra-long (5,370 mm). It offers the long and extra-long versions in India. The
long version has a 3,200 wheelbase, while extra-long version has a 230 mm
longer wheelbase of 3,430 mm.
The long version is
a 6-seater and is targeted at those seeking more luxury features. It is
available in the Exclusive grade, for a price of INR 81.90 lakh*. The
extra-long version is a 7-seater and is targeted at those focusing higher on
practicality. It is available in the Expression, for a price of INR 68.40
lakh*.
The Expression
grade is equipped with features like Dynamic LED headlamps, Comfort suspension,
reversing camera, Thermotronic dual-zone automatic climate control system with Tempmatic
semi-automatic AC in the rear, Attention Assist and Crosswind Assist. Matt
anthracite wave-look trim, Leather Lugano Black seats, sports pedal and leather
steering wheel are optional.
The Exclusive grade
packs High-Performance LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, electric sliding
doors, Agility Control suspension with selective damping system, ambient
lighting, nappa leather Comfort seats and Active Parking Assist with 360-degree
camera. It includes the Table Package too, which features a folding, movable
table in the rear. Another highlight of this grade is a separately opening rear
window.
Mercedes-Benz sells
the V-Class in India in exclusively the V 220 d engine model with the
BSVI-compliant 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 163 PS and
380 Nm of torque. A 7-speed automatic transmission is standard. There are four
colour options: Obsidian Black, Cavensite Blue, Mountain Crystal White and
Brilliant Silver.
