Renault is gearing up to introduce the redesigned Clio next week and the company has released a new teaser video which gives us a few glimpses of the upcoming model. The fifth-generation Clio will have an evolutionary grille with a prominent Renault emblem. It resides above a small intake with black accents. The sides of the hatchback will apparently have familiar chrome trim with integrated Clio badging. This particular image also suggests the model will receive stylish bodywork.

Much of the teaser video is dedicated to the interior and it appears the new Clio will have a classier cabin than its predecessor. Notable highlights include a new steering wheel, stylish two-tone seats and an upholstered dashboard.

Prototypes have been heavily camouflaged, but it appears the production model will have slimmer headlights, a sportier roofline and a familiar greenhouse which incorporates hidden rear door handles. Out back, there’s a sportier rear bumper and an all-new hatch.

Renault hasn’t said much about the Clio, but it is slated to ride on the CMF-B platform which should be shared with the next-generation Captur. The model is also slated to be offered with an assortment of petrol and diesel engines. We can also expect hybrid and plug-in variants as well as a new Clio RS which could use a detuned version of the Megane RS’ turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 276 hp and 390 Nm of torque.
