Images of the production-ready Royal Enfield Bullet
Trials 350 and the Bullet Trials 500 have been leaked, courtesy GaadiWaadi. The Royal Enfield Bullet Trials
will be based on the Classic range. It will feature updated suspension, knobby
tyres raised handlebar, rear luggage rack and an upswept exhaust.
The Bullet Trials 350 and Bullet Trials 500 are
based on the Royal Enfield Classic range and feature additional equipment. The
Trials will feature bigger 19-inch or 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke
wheels that will be paired with knobby dual-purpose tyres, a raised handlebar
with a centre brace, an upswept exhaust and a rear parcel rack. The motorcycles
will come with shorter mudguards at both the ends, while the chassis will be
painted in red (350cc) and olive green (500cc), respectively.
The Royal Enfield Bullet Trials will feature a
headlight protector, fork gaiters and a fork brace as standard. According to the
source report, the Bullet Trials will be available in a dual-tone, silver and
chrome paint scheme. It should be noted that Royal Enfield marketed a trials
version of the Bullet 350 and Bullet 500 range in the UK.
The Royal Enfield Bullet Trials will source power
from a 346cc and a 499cc single-cylinder engine respectively. While the 346cc
motor on the Bullet Trials 350 develops 19.8 bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque,
the 499cc unit on the Bullet Trials 500 will produce 27.1 bhp and 41 Nm. Both
the engines will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Bullet Trials will cater to the light off-road
needs of the trail rider, invoking the pure motorcycling nostalgia of the
1950s. The Royal Enfield Bullet Trials 350 could be priced around INR 1.70
lakh, while the Bullet Trials 500 could retail at INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
Both the motorcycles will feature dual-channel ABS as standard.
