Skoda Kodiaq RS, will cost UK buyers upwards of £ 42,870
OTR (US$ 54,000), as order books are now officially open. The Kodiaq RS (or vRS in
the UK) is powered by a twin turbocharged 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine, working
alongside a standard four-wheel drive system and a 7-speed DSG gearbox. With
240 PS and 500 Nm of torque at its disposal, it can hit
100 km/h in 7 seconds flat.
Exterior features
include the 20-inch Xtreme alloy wheels, gloss black finish on the grille and
mirrors, dual exhaust pipes, RS sport bumpers and trademark brake calipers.
Inside, you’ll find Alcantara-trimmed sports seats with contrast RS stitching
and logo, a black rooflining and more RS stitching for the door panels.
This model is also
Skoda’s first to be offered with a digital Virtual Cockpit display as standard,
allowing you to place the speedometer in the center of the display for a more
focused view. Furthermore, all Kodiaq RS models are equipped with Dynamic
Chassis Control and progressive steering, also at no extra cost, much like the
Dynamic sound booster and front parking sensors.
The Skoda Kodiaq RS
is known to hold the lap record for seven-seater SUVs on the Nurburgring
Nordschleife, with a time of 9 minutes, 29.84 seconds. Behind the wheel was
none other than racing driver Sabine Schmitz. First UK deliveries
are expected in early Spring.
