Triumph Motorcycles’ special division, the Triumph Factory Custom has delivered a limited edition and an ultra-premium variant of the Thruxton. Christened as the Thruxton TFC, the motorcycle is a more powerful, lighter and even higher specification variant of the cafe racer.

For starters, the motorcycle is limited to 750 units worldwide. Styling cues include TFC badging and instrument faces with gold detailing and an individually-numbered plaque on the top yoke. Buyers would also get a tailor-made TFC handover pack that will be unique to their bike. The pack would feature a numbered letter signed by Triumph’s CEO Nick Bloor, a personalised custom build book, and a Thruxton TFC bike cover.


The new Thruxton TFC is generously equipped with lightweight carbon fibre bodywork. The carbon bodywork includes a one-piece cockpit fairing, front mudguard, seat cowl, heel guards and silencer end caps. Other details include billet machined aluminium top yoke with TFC branding, brushed nickel mirror centres, tinted screen, real leather seat with stitched detailing, and billet machined aluminium oil filler cap.

Blacked out parts further enhance the visual treat that the Thruxton TFC is. These include black anodised multi-spoked wheels, black Öhlins RSU springs with black decals, black engine covers and a black tail tidy. The Thruxton TFC is available in one paint scheme – Carbon Black, with brushed tank kneepad detailing and hand-painted gold lining. Gold detailing is seen on the fairing, badging, instrument faces, key, and custom drive chain. Features retained from the standard Thruxton include flip-top Monza fuel cap, twin throttle bodies with brushed intake finisher, Daytona R foot pegs and clear anodised aluminium swing arm.

The upgrades aren’t limited to the visuals. The Thruxton TFC is tuned to deliver 10 PS more than the standard Thruxton R. The 1200cc, liquid cooled, 8-valve, SOHC, 270° crank angle parallel twin engine churns out 107 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 115 Nm of peak torque at 4,850 rpm. The Thruxton TFC benefits from Vance & Hines titanium silencers and carbon fibre end caps.


The Thruxton TFC also gets three upgraded riding modes (Rain, Road and Sport), which now adjust throttle map, ABS and traction control settings to better suit the riding conditions or rider preference. Regarding weight, the Thruxton TFC is 5 kilograms lighter than the Thruxton R. The added power, clubbed with lighter weight than the standard Thruxton R results in an improved power-to-weight ratio.

The TFC gets an individually-numbered plaque on the top yoke, and carbon cockpit fairing, front mudguard, seat cowl, heel guards and silencer end caps.The equipment on the Thruxton TFC includes fully adjustable Öhlins upside down NIX30 front forks and fully adjustable Öhlins piggyback reservoir rear shocks with billet machined aluminium adjusters. Stopping power comes from Brembo 4-piston M4.34 radial monobloc callipers and twin floating Brembo front discs.
