The Lexus IS 300 F
Sport will become available in a new special edition called Black Line. Limited
to 900 units for 2019, it entered production earlier this month and will arrive
at dealers in March.
The Black Line
treatment can be applied to both the rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive
versions of the IS 300 F Sport. The first one is powered by a 2.0-liter
turbo-four, with 241 hp and an eight-speed auto, while the
second one uses a 260 hp 3.5-liter V6 and a six-speed
automatic gearbox.
Subtle styling
changes on the outside include the black side mirror casings and 18-inch split
spoke wheels, with the ‘black vapor chrome’ finish, a technology shared with
the larger LS. Also, clients will have to choose between three exterior colors
called Ultra White, Atomic Silver and Obsidian.
Toyota’s luxury car
brand is offering the IS 300 F Sport Black Line with the red-accented black
Nuluxe seats. Other interior features include red stitching on the seats,
central console and armrests, as well as more red accents on each side of the
center stack. Also part of the package is the black wood-trimmed steering wheel
with distinctive black shades – said to have been created by a Japanese
calligraphy shop.
Contributing to the
wide list of standard equipment are the triple beam LED headlights and
navigation system.
Pricing details
haven’t been announced yet, but expect the Black Line models to cost more than
the regular IS 300 F Sport, which starts from US$ 41,605 with rear-wheel drive and US$ 43,655 in AWD spec.
