Over the past few
years, sports car and supercar manufacturers have rushed to build SUVs in order
to snap up their share of the booming market. Could the next gold mine for
these manufacturers be high-end pickup trucks? Never say never – after all,
Mercedes does build the X-Class- but probably not.
In designing the
pickup, Prisk left the front of the Urus relatively unchanged, except for the
inclusion of a rugged skid plate in the central portion of the front bumper.
Clearly designed with off-roading in mind, Prisk outfitted the digital Urus
pickup with a set of massive off-road wheels and tires that help to drastically
increase the ride height and make the utility vehicle appear ready for even the
most difficult terrain.
The modifications
are topped off by the fitment of a large pickup bed rather than the cabin of
the actual Urus. Lamborghini will probably never venture into the world of
pickup trucks – or at least we hope so. At least for the foreseeable future,
the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will remain the most premium pickup truck on the
market.
