Ginetta is about to unveil a road-legal supercar,
will full details to be announced soon. Until they do, they gave a few insights
about their upcoming model, which will utilize a carbon fiber tub chassis and a
full carbon body. Powering it will be a naturally aspirated V8 that’s been designed and
built in-house. The unit will put out in excess of 600 horsepower and will be
linked to a sequential gearbox.
Accompanying the announcement are a couple of teaser
images that preview the supercar. Its design seems to have been heavily
inspired by the G55, a track weapon unveiled at the end of 2010 and powered by
a Ford-sourced 3.7-liter engine rated at 370 horsepower.
The Leeds-based company didn’t say when they will
officially reveal the yet-unnamed machine. However, scrolling through the
Geneva Motor Show website, we found that Ginetta is one of the exhibitors that
will be present at the event that’s a little over a month away from kicking
off. So, we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw it at their stand.
