The 2019 GPX Racing Gentleman
200 and 2019 GPX Racing Demon 150 GR are now on sale in Malaysia. Pricing is
RM 10,978 for the retro-styled Gentleman 200 and RM 9,800 for the Demon 150 GR,
excluding road tax, insurance and registration.
Power for the Gentleman 200 comes from a 197 cc,
four-stroke, air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder mill with six-speed gearbox.
GPX Racing did not supply any numbers for the engine, but a figure of 20 hp and
18 Nm or so of torque would not be out of the question and a top speed of 135
km/h is listed on its website.
Fuel is carried in a 12-litre fuel tank and the
engine is fed by carburettor. Non-adjustable upside-down telescopic forks are
used in front, with a rebound-adjustable YSS monoshock in the rear, and braking
is done using twin hydraulic discs on the spoked front wheel.
Seat height for the Gentleman 200 is 730 mm and
weight is claimed to be 160 kg. Pirelli rubber is used on the 110/70-17″ front
and 140/70-17″ rear wheel while the single round LCD instrument cluster
features a colour-changing display.
As for the sportsbike styled Demon 150 GR, power
comes from a 149 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. Of note is the styling
of the Demon 150GR, which has a nose very closely resembling Ducati’s Panigale
superbike and 8-litres of fuel is carried in the tank to feed the carburettor.
Suspension is with upside-down forks in front and a
YSS monoshock propping up the rear end. Rolling on 120/70-14″ and 140/70-14″
wheels, front and rear respectively, the Demon 150 GR is claimed to have a 120+
km/h top speed from manufacturer’s testing figures, with braking done by a
single hydraulic disc on the front and back.
The Demon 150 GR weighs in at 133 kg and seat height
is set at 780 mm, which makes it a proper sized motorcycle. Inside the cockpit
is a monochrome LCD display with a 5-Volt USB charger located just beneath
while daytime running lights and and LED tail light is used for illumination.
