Audi e-tron has now been launched in Thailand, making Audi the first premium brand in the country to introduce a fully electric vehicle. The fully imported SUV is being offered by Meister Technik, and is priced at 5.099 million baht. A single variant, the e-tron 55 quattro, is the only one that customers will be able to buy, which uses two electric motors. For the front axle, the drive unit comprises of the motor, power electronics and single-speed gearbox, with a rated output of 168 hp.

Meanwhile, the rear unit provides 188 hp, and when paired with the front, results in an electric quattro all-wheel drive setup and total system output of 355 hp and 561 Nm of torque. The e-tron also comes with a boost mode that temporarily increases output to 402 hp and 664 Nm for a few seconds, with a 13 hp gain at the front and 34 hp at the rear. In terms of performance, the 0-100 km/h sprint will take 6.6 seconds, or 5.7 seconds when boost mode is engaged.

These motors are powered by a 95-kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing for a driving range of about 417 km following the WLTP method of testing. The e-tron can be charged using either 11-kW or 22-kW home AC charging solutions with a Type 2 connector, or 150-kW DC fast charging via the Combined Charging System (CCS) standard.

Available equipment on the e-tron 55 quattro include adaptive air suspension, HD Matrix LED headlamps, 21-inch wheels, Audi drive select an optional Audi virtual exterior mirrors. The last item replaces the conventional side mirrors for cameras linked to 7-inch OLED touchscreens inside the cabin, and is part of an optional package.

The interior sports Valcona leather seats, four-zone automatic air-conditioning, a panoramic sunroof, Audi virtual cockpit, MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch response, ambient lighting and a Bang & Olufsen Sound System with 3D sound.

As for the list of safety and driver assist systems, you’ll get TCS, ESC, ABS, EBD, four airbags (front driver and passenger, front side with head airbag system), Audi hold assist, Parking aid Plus with 360-degree display and Isofix child seat anchors and top tether for outer rear seats. The optional package that includes the virtual exterior mirrors also adds on the Audi pre sense city suite and side assist. However, this comes at an additional cost of 200,000 baht.
