Lotus is developing a
powerful hypercar with Williams Advanced Engineering. Limited details about the
car are known; however, if it looks anything like this, the British car
manufacturer will have a winner on its hands.
Dubbed the Lotus Evil Vision GT concept, it is the
work of designer Antonio Paglia. The car takes inspiration from classic Formula
One cars and fighter jets and has a design just as radical as the Aston Martin
Valkyrie and Mercedes-AMG One hypercars.
Viewed from the front, the Evil Vision GT Concept
features a set of huge air intakes on either side to suck air into the various
radiators. There’s also no central part to the front bumper as this area has
been designed to channel air along the vehicle’s flat undertray and straight to
the huge rear diffuser. The front also includes small headlights and a tiny
frunk that probably doesn’t even have room to store a single pencil.
Moving to the sides, the Lotus hypercar concept has
been shaped with aerodynamics in mind. Instead of wing mirrors, it features
tiny cameras and also supports massive air channels that direct air towards the
split rear wing, whose design reminds us of the Pagani Zonda Pearl’s item.
Paglia hasn’t said whether he has envisioned his
concept as all-electric, hybrid, or ICE-powered. However, the design would
certainly allow for a large engine to be placed directly behind the cockpit.
