Motoroyale India has announced via Instagram that it
will extend its product portfolio with the launch of the MV Agusta 800 RR
America Edition very soon. The exact launch date and prices are still
undisclosed. Globally, the MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR America is limited to just
200 units, five of which would come to the Indian market.
The Brutale 800 RR America Edition pays homage to
the “S America 750”, a model that dates back to 1975, which boasted an in-line
four-cylinder engine with dual overhead camshaft, 75 horsepower and air
cooling.
The motorcycle features a special livery that is in
a combination of Red, White and Blue – the colours in the American flag. The
fuel tank, for example, gets blue paint along with a red centre and white
colour on the sides. The red stripe on the top of the fuel tank flows onto the
saddle. The upper part of the fuel tank is adorned with stars, just like on the
750 S. The seat features stitching with gold highlights. The flyscreen features
the "Brutale 800 RR America Special Edition" tag along with a
progressive production number.
The spoke wheels too pay homage to the colours of
the American flag – featuring blue hub, red spokes and white rim. The side of
the radiator also gets the "America Special Edition" decal. The
motorcycle comes with a certificate of authenticity. Powering the MV Agusta Brutale
800 RR America Edition is a 798 cc inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled,
12-valve engine that is tuned to deliver 140 hp of maximum power at 12,300 rpm
and 86 Nm of peak torque at 10,100 rpm. The motor is mated to a six-speed
gearbox with a slipper clutch and can propel the Brutale 800 RR to a top speed
of 244 km/h. The transmission features MV EAS 2.0 (Electronically Assisted
Shift) for both up & down gearshifts as well.
The Brutale 800 RR America features 43 mm Marzocchi
inverted telescopic hydraulic forks and Sachs rear monoshock. Stopping power
comes from 320 mm double floating discs at the front and a 220 mm single steel
disc at the rear.
The MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR America Edition would
most likely carry a premium over the standard motorcycle, and, so expect it to
cost approximately INR 20 lakhs (ex-showroom).
