Details of an Ambulance based on the Indonesia-spec
2018 Suzuki Ertiga have surfaced online. While the prices aren't known at the
moment, the Ertiga-based ambulance is a dealer-level modification. The second-gen Suzuki Ertiga has
been on sale in a price bracket of IDR 196 - Rp 241,5 Million. It is available in GA, GL, GX and GX ESP grades. The ambulance
livery can be applied on any variant of the MPV. It brings in a set of special
decals and a set of roof-mounted warning lights. The interior has been
completely transformed to accommodate a medicine cabinet, a stretcher, an
oxygen cylinder, and a host of medical paraphilia.
That said, the front row and the dashboard of the
cabin remains mostly unaltered, with the only addition being that of the
control panel for the warning lights, siren, and the public announcement
system. The Indonesia-spec Suzuki Ertiga draws its juice from a 1.5-litre VVT
naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers a maximum power
of 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 138 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The motor
comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed torque-converter
automatic transmission.
The second generation Suzuki Ertiga is underpinned
by the lightweight yet robust Heartect platform. It measures 4,395 mm in
length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,690 mm in height. With all the three rows of
seats in place, the MPV offers a boot space of 153-litre. Folding down the
middle and the third row of seats can boost the vehicle's luggage carrying
capacity to 803-litre.
