If you’re trying to look fashionable this Spring and
you’re partial to city cars like the Citroen C1, then you’ll be happy to know
that the automaker has given the Urban Ride special edition model a new Scarlet
Red exterior, an optional contrasting Caldera Black roof and more.
Prices start from £ 13,180 (US$ 17,342) in the UK for
the regular model, while the C1 Airscape Urban Ride costs upwards of £ 14,110
(US$ 18,566). Order books are now open, with the cars scheduled to arrive in dealerships
this June.
The Citroen C1 Urban Ride comes with wheel arch
extensions, Urban Ride decals on the rear doors, special graphic stripes on the
rear quarter panels, Lipizzan White door mirrors and 15-inch Black ‘Planet’
wheels with black center caps. The Scarlet Red and Lipizzan White body colors
are standard, unlike the optional contrasting Caldera Black roof. Other optional body colors
include: Calvi Blue, Gallium Grey, Caldera Black and Carlinite Grey.
Inside, there are new Metropolitan Grey and White
‘Urban Ride’ cloth seats with red top-stitching, plus custom front and rear
protective mats with the Urban Ride logo. Meanwhile, the Urban Ride Color Pack
is standard and adds Anodized White trim around the infotainment system and on
the upper dashboard, to go with the Gloss Black finish on the gear knob and air
vent surrounds, plus the ‘Urban Ride’ dashboard graphic.
As for interior features, there’s a reversing
camera, a 4-speaker MP3 audio system/DAB digital radio, a 7-inch touchscreen
infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a multi-function
steering wheel – all standard. If you can spend a little extra though, you
could also get the Automatic Pack Plus (automatic air-conditioning, automatic
headlights, keyless entry and start) and Active City Brake (Lane Departure
Warning, Speed Sign Recognition).
Powering the Citroen C1 Urban Ride is a 72 PS 3-cylinder petrol engine with Stop & Start technology, mated to a
5-speed manual gearbox.
