Cardekho has spotted a heavily camouflaged example
of the 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross (facelift). The updated pick-up truck was
unveiled in Thailand over a year ago and has been undergoing road-tests in
India since September 2018.
The cosmetic updates on the 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
include a refreshed front-end that will look similar to the UK-spec model. It
will feature bi-LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs instead of the halogen
units found on the current model, while its bumpers, front grille and tail
lamps will be new, too. The updates for the updated V-Cross will be similar in
nature to the ones introduced on the MU-X facelift. The cosmetic upgrades for
the V-Cross are subtle in nature but work well to update the aesthetics of the
pickup truck.
On the inside, the 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will
feature a brown-black colour theme instead of the beige-brown finish available
on the current model. The cabin has also received black piano inserts on the
dashboard, central console and doors. The new trim has replaced the
silver-coloured version available on the current model.
It has been reported that the 2019 Isuzu D-Max
V-Cross will be sold with a 1.9-litre turbocharged diesel engine that will
replace the current 2.5-litre oil-burner, The new motor will come mated to a
6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and 4WD. The 1890 cc powerplant
will comply with the BSVI emission norms ahead of April 1, 2020 deadline. On
the UK-spec model, this motor outputs a maximum power of 164 PS and a peak
torque of 360 Nm. In comparison, the outgoing 2.5-litre engine offers 134 PS
and 320 Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross (facelift) is expected
to launch in the coming months and go on sale in a price range of INR 15-18
lakh (ex-showroom).
