Shortly after
pricing details and the first reviews of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator started to
emerge, the car manufacturer released the official online configurator for the
pickup. Those using the configurator can start out with the entry-level
Gladiator Sport model with prices starting at US$ 35,040 inclusive of a US$ 1495
destination charge. One step up in the range takes you to the US$ 38,240 Gladiator
Sport S while one step above that sits the 2020 Gladiator Overland priced from US$ 42,980. The range is then topped out by the Gladiator Rubicon with prices
starting at US$ 45,040.
While playing
around on Jeep’s website, we opted for the Gladiator Rubicon. It includes a number of options which can be added to the pickup, including the US$ 995 Premium LED Lighting Group, US$ 1595 8.4-inch Radio And Premium Audio Group, US$ 995 Jeep Active Safety Group, and the $795 Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward
Collision Warning+ system.
In terms of colors,
the Gladiator Rubicon has 10 different colors and shades to choose from. Our
favorite is the Punk’n Metallic Clear Coat you see pictured. The configurator
also includes two wheel options for the pickup as well as 33-inch All-Terrain
tires and 33-inch Mud-Terrain tires.
Move to the
interior and you will find that cloth seats come standard. For US$ 1495, the
Rubicon can be optioned with leather-trimmed seats finished in either black or
in a dark shade of brown. Among the interior options include a US$ 1295 Alpine
Premium Audio System, a US$ 295 wireless Bluetooth speaker, and a US$ 495
remote-start system. All current Jeep Gladiator models are sold with a
3.6-liter naturally-aspirated V6 with 285 hp and 352 Nm of torque.
A number of V6 diesel options will arrive in approximately a year.
