Porsche’s newest and sleekest SUV, the Cayenne
Coupe, is on display in China at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show, where it will
remain until April 25. It comes with plenty of standard features, including a
2.16-square-meter panoramic fixed glass roof. Inside, it has room
for up to 5 adults, but clients can order it in the four-seat configuration as
well, at no extra cost. The contoured carbon roof and three lightweight sport
packages are also available, among many other features.
At launch, the Cayenne Coupe is available with two
engines: the 3.0-liter V6 with 335 hp and 450 Nm of torque, and the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, rated at 542 hp and 770 Nm of torque in the Turbo model. The latter will get to 96 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a 286 km/h top speed, while the
former needs 5.7 seconds (5.6 sec with the lightweight sport packages) for and
tops out at 243 km/h.
Last year, Porsche sold more than 31,000 units of
the Cayenne in China alone. This represented a 19 percent increase compared to
2017, and with the new Cayenne Coupe out, the automaker expects to reach new
heights this year.
