Subaru wheeled out a kitted version of its XV crossover at the 2019 Bangkok International Motor Show. The Thai-market special edition is called the Subaru XV GT Edition and it’s based on the top 2.0i-P variant of the C-segment crossover.

The GT’s exterior package consists of a front bumper lip, side skirts, rear bumper extensions and a more prominent rear spoiler. The lower body aerokit pieces have silver strips in them, so it’s easy to spot a GT Edition XV.

In addition, the rear diffuser area of the stock car, which is oddly in body colour, has been remedied by a black plastic piece that matches the raised hatchback’s body cladding. Rounding up the exterior changes are fan blade-style 18-inch two-tone wheels (up an inch, also note the GT centre caps) wrapped with 225/55 Continental UltraContact UC6 SUV tyres. Of course, there’s a GT Edition emblem on the hatch.

Inside, the XV GT comes with special leather seats (orange stitching to match those on the dashboard, steering, shift boot) and floor mats. There’s one non-cosmetic add on, and it’s side view cameras to aid parking. The lenses are on the lower half of the wing mirrors.

In Thailand, the XV GT Edition is priced at 1.358 million baht, which is 99,000 baht more than the 2.0i-P. The second-generation Subaru XV is powered by 2.0 litre naturally-aspirated boxer engine with 156 PS/196 Nm, paired to a CVT automatic and standard all-wheel-drive.
