Toyota Kirloskar Motor will roll out the MY2019 update to the Innova
Crysta and Fortuner. The company will refresh the interior and introduce new
features with this update. TKM will introduce a new Ivory interior colour
option in the ZX MT and ZX AT configurations of the Toyota Innova Crysta with
the MY2019 update. The company will add heat rejection glass, USB charging
points and new speakers to the equipment list of the VX MT, ZX MT and ZX AT
configurations.
Updates to the
Toyota Fortuner will include the addition of perforated seats, heat rejection
glass and new speakers, and the introduction of a new Chamois interior colour
option in the 4x2 AT, 4x4 MT and 4x4 AT configurations.
The 2019 Toyota
Innova Crysta and 2019 Toyota Fortuner will have not have any mechanical
changes. The MPV, the company’s best-selling model, is available the 2GD-FTV
2.4-litre diesel engine (150 PS/343 Nm), the 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre diesel engine
(174 PS/360 Nm) and the 2TR-FE 2.7-litre petrol engine (166 PS/245 Nm). 5-speed
manual and 6-speed automatic are the transmission choices.
The Toyota
Fortuner’s engine options include the 2TR-FE 2.7-litre petrol unit and the
1GD-FTV 2.8-litre diesel unit. 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed
automatic are the transmission choices. The petrol engine’s maximum power and
maximum torque are 166 PS and 245 Nm respectively. The diesel engine delivers
177 PS and 420 Nm of torque (with 6-speed MT)/450 Nm of torque (6-speed AT).
The MY2019 update
may lead to a minor price hike. Currently, the Toyota Innova Crysta and Toyota
Fortuner are priced from INR 14,93,000* and INR 27,83,000*.
