TVS has announced the introduction of Synchronized
Braking Technology (SBT) in the Victor in India. SBT is essentially TVS' answer
to the new mandate of Combined Braking System in all two-wheelers below 125 cc.
By virtue of this technology, the front brake is engaged automatically when a
rider uses the rear brake.
Synchronized Braking Technology helps to reduce the
braking distance of the motorcycle. TVS claims that the introduction of this
technology will help in reducing the braking distance by 10%. SBT ensures that
the front brake is automatically engaged when a rider uses the rear brake. At the heart of the TVS Victor is
the same old 110 cc single-cylinder engine. Mated to a 4-speed gearbox, it
produces 9.5 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 9.4 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The
bike is suspended on telescopic forks in the front and (5-step) adjustable twin
hydraulic springs in the rear.
The TVS Victor is the first product in its segment
with LED daytime running lights. Colour options for the standard version
includes Blissful Blue, Generous Grey, Beatific Black Silver, Restful Red and
Balanced Black Red. TVS Victor also has the most spacious seat in the segment.
A 240 mm petal disc is also offered for the front wheel as an option. A premium edition of the Victor
is also on offer. This variant gets chrome side guards, chrome side cover,
golden engine cover and dual tone seat. The TVS Victor premium edition is
offered in Black Gold, Red Gold, Matte Blue & Matte Silver colours.
The premium 110cc TVS Victor competes against the
likes of Honda Livo, Hero Splendor iSmart+ and Yamaha Saluto RX. Pricing of the
motorcycle starts at INR 54,682 for the drum brake variant while the disc brake
trim costs INR 56,682 (both ex-Delhi). The Victor premium edition is priced at
INR 57,662 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
