The revised Lexus RC F can be purchased in the United Kingdom in one of four
different specs, including the highly-appreciated Track Edition. The
entry-level RC F has a £ 62,900 starting price, whereas the
Carbon and Plus Pack models can be had from £ 69,900 and
£ 72,650, respectively. Meanwhile, the Track Edition comes
with a £ 79,900 sticker price.
Power continues to
come from the 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, which retains its 464 PS and 520 Nm of torque output. The intake has been
revised, however, and the eight-speed automatic gearbox now features a higher
final drive ratio, from 2.93 to 3.13.
The 2019 RC F
features a new electronic launch control system as standard, which allows the
car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The Michelin Pilot Sport
4S tires, which have been designed specifically for this car from a special
rubber compound with a unique profile and tread pattern, improve lateral grip
and help reduce understeer in track conditions.
Elsewhere, the
updated RC F has a small weight reduction and some stylistic changes on the
outside, including the revised grille, new headlight design and different
taillights. Reflecting the model’s motorsport career is the RC F Track Edition,
which has improved aerodynamics and performance, as well as additional weight
saving. Standard gear includes the red leather interior with Alcantara accents,
red carbon trim and two exterior color choices called Ultra White and Nebula
Grey, with the latter being exclusive to this grade.
