AC Schnitzer has released a full range
of tuning parts for the new BMW 8 Series. The tuning specialists have finalized
the engine upgrades for BMW’s grand tourer and the results are promising. The
840d’s turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine gets a healthy upgrade
to 380 PS and 780 Nm of torque, up from 320 PS and 680 Nm in the stock version.
The power kit for
the M850i’s twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter gasoline V8 is even more enticing. AC
Schnitzer managed to squeeze 620 PS and 840 Nm of torque
from the eight-cylinder engine — 90 PS and 90 Nm more than
the factory engine.
AC Schnitzer has
also developed sports rear silencers for the exhaust system, including two
exhaust flaps each with two carbon “Sport”, “Sport” or “Sport black” tailpipes.
Additionally, BMW 8 Series G15 owners can opt for a suspension spring kit that
brings the car 20 mm closer to the ground.
On the outside,
visual upgrades include carbon front spoiler elements, front splitter, front
side winglets, bonnet vents with carbon inserts, carbon side skirts, as well as
carbon rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and “Racing” fixed wing. The BMW 8 Series
also gains a Formula 1-style brake light at the center of the rear diffuser,
rear skirt protection foil, and AC Schnitzer emblems.
Customers can
choose from AC3 Lightweight Forged Wheels or AC1 BiColor or anthracite Alloy
Wheels; both are available in BiColor designs in 20-inch guises with 245/35 R20
front tires and 275/30 R20 rear tires for the AC3 and 245/35 R20 and 285/30 R20
tires for the AC1. Finally, for the interior, AC Schnitzer offers subtle upgrades
such as aluminum pedals, aluminum footrest, and an aluminum key holder.
