The reports of CFMoto's India entry aren't new; the
company is said to arrive here with three bikes: the 300NK, 650NK and 650MT.
Today, the hot news is that the CFmoto 650GT has just landed in India, spy
shots have revealed.
Following the 300NK, 650NK and 650MT, CFMoto will
launch the 250NK and the 650GT in India this year, by Diwali. The company seems
to have started importing models for testing and validation purposes as it
gears up for first deliveries later this year.
As visible from the spy shots, the CFMoto 650GT is
expected to have a slightly lean-forward riding position, thanks to its
mid-raised handlebars. This should make for decently comfortable riding
ergonomics expected from sports touring motorcycles. What's more to notice, is the
bulk at the front end, which makes the motorcycle look buffed up at first
glance.
The CFMoto 650GT sports the same 649.3 cc
liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine as the CFMoto 650MT. This engine churns out
70PS at 8,750rpm and 62Nm of torque at 7000 rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed
gearbox. The 650GT shares more than just the engine with the 650MT. Both bikes
have a similar front telescopic front fork setup and a monoshock at the rear.
Stopping power comes from dual 300 mm disc brakes at the front and a single
240mm disc brake at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is standard.
The CFmoto 650GT is expected to be priced somewhere
in the region of INR 5.5 lakh to INR 5.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
