The range-topping
Sport model of the Fiat Tipo has arrived in the UK, offering more aggressive
styling and kit but not any actual hardware changes. Prices for the new Fiat
Tipo Sport start from £ 19,255 in the UK, fitted with the base 95 hp 1.4-liter
four-cylinder petrol unit, or £ 20,575 for the more powerful 118 hp turbocharged
1.4-liter T-Jet model. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on both
engine options.
Based on the
existing S-Design model, the new Fiat Tipo Sport features an exclusive bodykit,
including a new front bumper with splitter, deeper side skirts, a rear diffuser
and spoiler as well as black door handles and 18-inch alloys. It’s also offered
only in the five-door hatchback bodystyle.
Fiat now offers
both the Tipo S-Design and Sport models with a two-tone paint finish, that
includes a contrasting black roof, promising to add further paint options in
the near future. The cabin adopts a total black theme, with leather/fabric
seats featuring double-stitched seams and a cross pattern for the leather, as
well as tinted rear windows and a seven-inch Uconnect infotainment system.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included as standard.
Other changes in
the UK range include the new Tipo Mirror, which replaces the outgoing Easy Plus
model as the mid-range model of the Tipo lineup. It too comes with an exclusive
Mirror Blue paint finish, featuring additional chrome details on the door
handles, lower window line, lower grille surround, fog lights and elsewhere.
The mid-range Fiat
Tipo Mirror starts from £ 16,155 and is offered with both petrol and diesel
engine options, including the 1.6-liter Multijet diesel with 118 hp paired to a
six-speed manual gearbox.
