The Hero XPulse 200T has reached Colombia as the
Hero Thriller 200T. Interestingly, unlike the Hero XPulse 200T, the Hero
Thriller 200T has a fuel-injected engine. The Hero XPulse 200T isn't sold
with a fuel-injected engine even optionally, while the Hero Thriller 200T has
it as standard. The former, with its carburetted engine, is priced at INR
94,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Another difference between the two is that the
export model has a smoked fly-screen.
Like the rest of the Thriller range (X range in
India), the Thriller 200T is designed and developed at the Hero Centre of
Innovation and Technology (CIT). The motorcycle is a road-focussed version of
the Thriller 200X, and thus, rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. The addition of
alloy wheels brings the convenience of tubeless tyres, a feature that is not
available on the off-road spec Thriller 200X.
Being road-focussed, the Thriller 200T doesn't have
aluminium bash plate and knuckle guards. Instead, it uses a black coloured fibre
engine cowl. Every other feature is the same as that of the off-road-oriented
motorcycle, including LED headlamp and tail light, Bluetooth enabled digital
speedometer with turn-by-turn navigation and an underseat USB charger as
standard.
Like the Thriller 200X, the Thriller 200T employs a
199.6 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that makes 18.4 PS of maximum power
at 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with
a 5-speed gearbox.
Braking setup includes 276 mm and 220 mm petal-type
disc brakes, while the safety tech includes single-channel ABS. Shock
absorption tasks are handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front and
a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the back.
