The Honda Passport and Ridgeline Adventure Lifestyle
Projects highlight the company’s presence at the 2019 Overland Expo West in
Flagstaff, Arizona. The two exhibits showcase the off-road capabilities of the light
trucks as well as how easy it is to turn them into overland vehicles using
accessories that are already on sale.
Developed with Jsport, the Honda Passport Adventure
Lifestyle Project is fitted with a lift kit adding 1.5 inches of ride height at
the front and 0.75 inches at the rear, a new front skid plate, as well as
Jsport KMC XD 18-inch wheels shod with Nitto RidgeGrappler off-road tires.
The overlanding part includes a Jsport Plateau
modular roof rack with a Roofnest Sandpiper rooftop tent on top. The SUV also
gains Jsport side steps for easier access to the roof rack, Jsport external
swinging spare tire holder and a revised front bumper. Rounding off the
modifications are the front and rear external lighting solutions from Baja
Designs.
Already revealed at the 2018 SEMA Show, the Honda
Ridgeline Adventure Lifestyle Project features similar upgrades from Jsport
including the additional skid plates, a leveling kit, and off-road wheels and
tires. The Jsport sidesteps provide easier access to the new Plateau roof rack
system, while the Mesa bed rack enhances cargo flexibility.
Mounted atop the roof rack are a tent and a quiet
Honda EU2200i generator that can power almost any electrical accessories needed
in overland excursions. All the Jsport mods for the 2019 Ridgeline are on sale
now.
Besides the modified Passport and Ridgeline, Honda
will showcase its entire family of off-road products at the 2019 Overland Expo
West, including an array power sports and power equipment products. Those
include the 2019 Honda Talon ATVs as well as the 2019 Africa Twin Adventure
Sports, 2019 Honda CRF250L Rally, and 2019 Honda CRF450L motorcycles.
