The Korean company recently revealed the Venue small
crossover at the 2019 New York Auto Show. Naturally, those present at the event
asked Hyundai North America CEO Brian Smith whether a Venue N is being
considered, and according to Drive, the answer was that “it could be”.
Apart from that, though, Smith also admitted that a
Venue N Line is being considered as well. “Would you like that in Australia? N
Line was just introduced in Detroit. This is really going to be a vehicle that
I think applies to that as well,” he commented. A possible Venue N Line would
look sportier, thanks to a new body kit and a few interior updates compared to
lesser versions, though it wouldn’t get a punchier engine or tuned suspension.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has already confirmed that it
will launch a Sonata N Line. The range-topping version of the mid-size saloon
will debut in 2020 with over 275 hp, right after the hybrid that’s also
set to launch next year, Smith revealed during the NYC event.
