A number of spy shots of the McLaren GT have emerged before Woking’s latest makes its online premiere on Wednesday, May 15th. McLaren has previously stated that it was encouraged to build the GT after receiving feedback from owners of the 570GT that they wanted a vehicle with similar levels of comfort but even more power. The new Macca will sit alongside the existing Sports Series, Super Series, and Ultimate Series supercars.

The latest images show the car with skin-tight camouflage, but the overall shape and key design elements are immediately visible. At the front, it features headlights which are simpler in design than those of other McLaren models. Additionally, the car lacks a traditional front grille and makes do with four large air intakes incorporated into the bumper.

Viewed from the side, the GT has a long and sleek profile with a lip spoiler incorporated into the trunk lid and a pair of round tailpipes. We don’t yet know what the interior of the car will look like, but could get a revamped design to differentiate it from other McLarens currently on sale.

Technical specifications are unavaible right now, but the car will likely be powered by the company’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine first used by the 720S. Power will, probably, sit in the high 600s or low 700s, making this one of the fastest grand tourers on the market.
