MINI launched the facelifted John Cooper Works Hatch in India today. Imported via the CBU route, the new JCW Hatch costs INR 43.5 lakh (ex-showroom India). The new MINI John Cooper Works Hatch sports a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-banger dishing out 231 PS at 5,200-6,000 rpm and 320 Nm at 1,250-4,800 rpm. Internationally, customers get to select between a 6-speed manual transmission and an 8-speed automatic transmission. In India, however, the latter is standard.

The new MINI John Cooper Works Hatch AT can sprint from nought to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and go all the way up to 246 km/h. Stopping power comes from 4-disc, fixed-calliper John Cooper Works brakes fitted as standard.

The performance variant of the MINI Hatch looks much sportier than the standard variant. It comes with various aerodynamic bits including a front apron with integrated air ducts, side sills, unique bumpers, 17-inch JCW Track Spoke alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. The exterior highlights include exclusive John Cooper Works bonnet stripes, chrome double plated double exhaust tailpipes and a John Cooper Works badge is emblazoned in the front, side scuttles and tailgate as well.

Chilli Red, Electric Blue, Emerald Grey, Melting Silver, Midnight Black, Pepper White, Solaris Orange, Starlight Blue, Thunder Grey, White Silver and JCW-exclusive Rebel Green are the paint choices. The roof and ORVMs carry a contrasting paint finish, in white, black or the JCW-exclusive Chilli Red.

Inside, the driver and passenger get the feeling of sitting in the top athlete with John Cooper Works sport seats. The driver gets an even stronger racing sensation, thanks to the John Cooper Works sports leather steering wheel with paddle shifters and the John Cooper Works stainless steel pedal caps. Door sills with integrated John Cooper Works badge are also a part of the package.

Dinamica leather upholstery in Carbon Black is standard, but several options are available, mentioned in the list below:
  • Leather Cross Punch Carbon Black | Carbon Black
  • Leather Lounge Satellite Grey | Carbon Black
  • Leather Chester Malt Brown | Black
  • MINI Yours Leather Lounge Carbon Black | Carbon Black

LED headlamps surrounded by LED DRLs that double as turn indicators, a head-up display, 360-watt Harman Kardon audio system featuring 12 speakers and an eight-channel digital amplifier and 6.5-inch central display are standard in the new MINI John Cooper Works Hatch. Many features are available optionally, including an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and Apple CarPlay, puddle lamps, panorama glass roof and more.
