Porsche has dropped a series of images showing the
modern-day Porsche 935 Clubsport with a number of retro liveries. In total, Porsche has designed
seven liveries for the car, the first of which is certainly
the most eye-catching, as it features a mint green Vaillant hue and accents
finished in yellow, red, and purple.
Elsewhere, Porsche has designed a Gulf-themed livery
for the car which includes a light blue paint contrasted by a series of orange
elements. There are also a white and blue Sachs theme, a stunning John Player
Special black livery with gold accents, a black and orange Interscope livery, a
Momo Racing theme with red and yellow, and a Salzburg theme finished in red and
white.
Porsche shocked the motoring world when it unveiled
the new 935 at last year’s Rennsport Reunion. The car is based on the 911 GT2
RS and features a distinctive body made mostly from carbon-fiber reinforced
polymer. Inside, the car comes complete with a carbon fiber steering wheel as
well as the same digital instrument cluster as the 2019 911 GT3 R race car.
Powering the new 935 is the same twin-turbocharged
3.8-liter flat-six engine as the 911 GT2 RS with 690 hp. This engine sends its
power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK transmission and a
race-optimized limited-slip differential.
Porsche will only ever build 77 units of its new
935, with European pricing starting at € 701,948. The first customer deliveries
are scheduled to kick off next month.
