Skoda had plenty of new Superb-related stuff to show
today and one of the new versions announced is the Superb Sportline. While the Sportline trim is not
new, Skoda wanted
to highlight the unique styling and equipment the Superb Sportline brings in
facelifted guise.
Starting with the exterior, the Superb Sportline
features black elements including the redesigned radiator grille, revised front
bumper with the lower grille in a honeycomb pattern, 18-inch Zenith alloy
wheels, and the horizontal strip between the LED taillights with dynamic
indicators. The smoked full LED Matrix headlights are also standard, as is the
10-mm lower sports chassis.Burnished 19‑inch anthracite Vega and black Supernova alloy wheels are available
as optional extras for those who want their Superb Sportline to look even more
athletic.
Inside, the facelifted Skoda Superb Sportline is
equipped with sports seats wrapped in Alcantara and leather with integrated
headrests and contrasting stitching, a three-spoke leather steering wheel,
decorative strips in a carbon-effect appearance, and chrome accents. The roof
lining and pillars can also be clad in black Alcantara should the customer want
to pay for that. Other standard features include the KESSY keyless entry system for
all doors, LED ambient lighting, and the special Performance Monitor.
As before, the Skoda Superb Sportline is available
with any of the model range’s engines except the 120 PS 1.6 TDI. We’d
have it with the range-topping 272 PS 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged
gasoline engine, not just because of its power but also because it comes as
standard with all‑wheel drive.
Buyers who are more into environmentally-friendly
vehicles can have the Superb Sportline as a plug-in hybrid as well with the 218
PS iV powertrain.
