The facelifted
Mercedes GLC is now available to customers in the UK, with the company
announcing the details about the prices and the available two diesel models in
the range. The updated German premium SUV is priced from £ 39,420 in the GLC
220d model, which is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel with 191 hp and 400 Nm of torque.
The new GLC 220d is
capable of a 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 215 km/h. Fuel economy is rated up to 41.5 mpg UK combined, with CO2 emissions
rated at 145g/km. Next up in the range we get the GLC 300d, which starts from
£ 47,045 and uses the same four-cylinder diesel engine but here is tuned to
produce 241 hp and 500 Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h is matter of 6.5
seconds, while the top speed is 231 km/h. Fuel economy here is rated up
to 39.2mpg UK and CO2 emissions are 157g/km.
Base GLC 220d
models are offered in the Sport trim, which comes with standard features such
as the brand’s MBUX multimedia system with the intelligent voice activation
system; Active Parking Assist with Parktronic and reversing camera; 10.25-inch
touchscreen media display; 5.5-inch instrument cluster display; heated front
seats; privacy glass; Agility Control Comfort suspension; and 18-inch
five-triple-spoke alloy wheels.
AMG-Line models add
19-inch five-twin-spoke alloy wheels, AMG Sports suspension with selective
damping, AMG exterior styling kit, sport seats dressed in Artico/Dinamica
upholstery and a diamond radiator grille.
Moving up the range
we get the AMG-Line Premium models which offer Multibeam LED headlights;
running boards; 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster display; ambient lighting;
augmented navigation; 20-inch multi-spoke AMG alloy wheels; smartphone
integration; and sport seats in leather upholstery.
The AMG-Line
Premium Plus versions of the new Mercedes GLC come with a panoramic glass
sunroof; a Burmester surround sound system; Keyless-Go Comfort package; memory
seats; and 20-inch five-twin-spoke alloy wheels.
Finally, the
top-of-the-line AMG-Line Premium Plus Ultimate models add the Air Body Control
suspension for both axles and the MBUX Interior Assistant. Mercedes UK is now
accepting orders for the new GLC, with first deliveries to commence this
summer.
