Shortly after the long-awaited BMW 8-Series Gran Coupe was unveiled, we have a series of renderings showing the vehicle in M8 guise, courtesy of digital artist Aksyonov Nikita. Generally speaking, the BMW 8-Series Gran Coupe retains most of the same styling elements as the 8-Series Coupe and Convertible models previously revealed. The main differences come due to the fact that the Gran Coupe is a four-door and has a taller roof and more pronounced shoulder line than its siblings.

When it comes to the forthcoming M8 Gran Coupe, we know that it will feature largely the same trimmings as the respective Coupe and Convertible models. This means the front end will include a gloss black grille with carbon fiber surrounds. Additionally, there will be carbon fiber shrouds near the front air intakes and some small touches of carbon on the lower part of the front bumper.

The sides of the M8 Gran Coupe rendered include black wheels and gold brake calipers. There are also carbon fiber mirror caps and M8 badges on the small grille element directly behind the front wheels. Spin around to the rear and you will spot a carbon fiber lip spoiler, new quad tailpipes, and a menacing rear diffuser.

It remains to be seen when the M8 Gran Coupe will be announced. The range is currently topped out by the M850i, fitted with a 4.4-liter TwinPower turbocharged V8 engine with 523 hp and 750 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 3.9 seconds. The pure M8 models share the 4.4-liter V8 from the M5 pumping out 592 hp and 750 Nm of torque in regular guise, rising to 617 hp in the Competition grade.
