Even though the
all-new Jeep Wrangler is massively improved compared to its predecessor, the
older iteration remains a very capable vehicle. It’s so good that
Kahn’s Chelsea Truck Company decided to modify one and we’re quite impressed
with the result. The Black Hawk Expedition, as the tuner has named it, builds
on a right-hand drive, 3.6-liter, 280 hp 2018 Wrangler, with only 80
km)on the clock.
It sports a Forest
Green 3D textured paint finish. The color gives it a military vehicle-like
look, complemented by the comprehensive exterior makeover, with new front
bumper, widened fenders, vented bonnet, 4-slot grille and split-level targa
roof.
Chelsea Truck
Company has installed LED DRLs between the bumper and fenders, LED cube lights
on the A pillars and a light bar on the roof. Other changes include the fuel
filler cap in satin black, mud flaps, quad crosshair exhaust system with 100 mm tailpipes, the tuner’s own spare wheel cover, lift kit and 20-inch
Mondial Retro wheels in a satin black 3D paint, shod in 275/55 tires.
On the outside, the
Wrangler Black Hawk Expedition looks very rugged, but the interior is quite
cozy. Front occupants sit on Kahn’s GTB sport seats and nearly everything has
been reupholstered in quilted and perforated leather. Door sill plates, vented
pedals, a special identification plate, aftermarket floor mats and a few other
parts are also found inside.
For £ 73,999, Kahn will sell you this rugged-looking Jeep, whose “build
quality is comparable to that of a fully coach-built vehicle”, according to the
tuner. To check it out in detail, you’ll have to click here to go to the
seller’s page, but before you do, you should know that the new-gen Wrangler
starts from £ 44,905 in the UK for the 2-door body style,
while an extra £ 1,500 will land you the longer model.
