Take a short look
at the used car market and you’ll see that there’s no shortage of tuned
Defenders. Most of them have been modified for off-road use, which also happens
to be the case with Chelsea Truck Company’s latest project.
The End Edition, as
it is named, has received a complete exterior makeover consisting of LED
headlights, a new front grille, wider fenders with visible bolts, steel
bumpers, bonnet vents, tubular side steps and a matte black look, among others.
The Defender End Edition also sports privacy rear glass, a stainless steel
exhaust with double tailpipes and 9×20-inch Mondial Retro Volcanic wheels
wrapped in 275/55 tires.
Inside, the British
SUV offers seating for up to seven and gets a similar update, with black being
the dominating shade. There’s new leather upholstery, front sports seats with
heating function, double three-spoke steering wheel, a Churchill Time Clock
fascia insert, vented pedals and hard-wearing rubber floor mats. As for
modern-age amenities, they include satellite navigation, an upgraded sound
system and front and rear dashcams.
As for the donor
vehicle, it is a 2016 Defender 110 powered by a 122 horsepower, 2.2-liter
diesel linked to an automatic transmission, with two previous owners and only 24,140 km on the clock. It’s a right-hand drive model in search
of a new home, for which Kahn is asking £ 84,999, or about
the same as a new Range Rover, which starts from £ 83,655 in
the UK.
