Yamaha has unveiled and launched Monster Energy
Yamaha MotoGP Edition models of its select motorcycle and scooters in the
Indonesian market. The list includes the 2019 Yamaha Aerox, YZF-R15 V3.0,
YZF-R25, Vixion and MX-King. Earlier this month, the company had revealed the
Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition variant of the YZF-R125.
From all the models that received the Monster Energy
Yamaha MotoGP models, the YZF-R15 V3.0 is particularly interesting as it may be
launched in India. Regular readers would know that Yamaha had introduced the
MotoGP livery for the YZF-R15 V3.0 in the country in August last year.
The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP
Edition has a dual-tone finish. Majority of the body panels get black paint,
while the fairing and top of the fuel tank carry blue highlights. The Monster
Energy branding and logos occupy the space on the front fender, fascia and the
fairing. Apart from Monster Energy, the motorcycle is also seen with ENEOS and
Yamalube decals. The design and the equipment list, which includes full LED
headlight, tail lamp and digital instrument console, is the same.
The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP
Edition seen here is equipped with upside-down telescopic front forks and an
aluminium swingarm. The engine is 155 cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, FI unit with variable valve actuation (VVA)
technology that generates 19 bhp of power at 10,000 rpm and 15 Nm of torque at
8,500 rpm. It will be coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with slip & assist
clutch. The safety net will include dual-channel ABS as standard, while the
stopping power will come from a single disc brake on both wheels.

Edition has been priced at IDR 36,360,000 in
Indonesia.
