The official power king in the compact hot hatch segment is the new Mercedes-AMG A45 S. It packs a massive 421 PS and 500 Nm of torque without any mods, which makes it 21 PS and 20 Nm more powerful than the Audi RS3 Sportback.

However, with a bit of help from ABT Sportsline, Ingolstadt’s agile hatchback has one-upped its (stock) competitor. The tuned Audi been fitted with a new engine control unit and intercooler and packs 470 PS and 540 Nm of torque. Top speed has gone up from 250 to 285 km/h, but there’s no word on the 0-100 km/h acceleration, which takes 4.1 seconds in the normal RS3.

In the near future, ABT will launch an optional stainless steel silencer system with four 102 mm black chrome-plated tailpipes. This will be available for all RS3s, but in the meantime, they can fit your car with new suspension springs, sport anti-roll bar kit and upgraded brakes. Or, if you want to go for the look of the one pictured in the gallery right nelow, then you’ll need to get the coilover suspension, as well as the matte black 19-inch alloy wheels. Other choices are also available, with different patterns, in 19 or 20 inches.

ABT won’t leave your RS3 Sportback’s interior stock either as, for the right sum, they will fit it with new leather and carbon fiber trim, as well as door light projectors. Those who cannot decide between the numerous parts available for the Audi hot hatch can simply get the tuner’s RS3 Package, which can be combined with the Interior Package.
