BMW Motorrad has
announced the addition of new colour options to its entire model range. The
entry-level models in the brand’s portfolio, the G 310 R and G 310 GS, have
received a new paint each. The naked roadster is now available in Cosmic black
2 that replaces the Cosmic black colour option, while the tourer model will
receive Strato blue metallic instead of Racing red. Cosmic black 2 brings new
decals on the front fender, radiator cover and rear fairing to give the
motorcycle a refreshed look. The new paint on the G 310 GS is visible on the
front beak and on the top-centre of the fuel tank. Unlike the existing GS
range, the “GS” logo on the tank gets a neon yellow shade instead of body
colour.
The mechanical
specifications have remained unaltered. The new colour options are yet to be
updated on the company’s India website. We do not expect to see any changes in
the prices. The BMW G 310 R is available at INR 2.99 lakh*, while the G 310 GS
retails at INR 3.49 lakh*.
The motorcycles
feature the same 313.2 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, reverse-inclined
engine that produces 34 hp and 28 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a
6-speed transmission. The G 310 duo share the trellis frame and their hardware
specifications include adjustable monoshock at the back, upside-down forks at
the front, disc brake on both wheels and a dual-channel ABS to govern the
braking setup. The G 310 GS comes with a 19-inch front wheel and a longer
suspension travel (180 mm vs. 140 mm on G 310 R), while the G 310 R uses
17-inch wheels.
To boost the sales
of its entry-level models in the price conscious Indian market, BMW Motorrad
announced 100% funding of the ex-showroom price and 0% interest on the G 310
duo along with low EMI of INR 6,999 (G 310 R) and INR 7,999 (G 310 GS). BMW
Motorrad is also offering finance to purchase riding gear equipment.
The BMW G 310 R and
BMW G 310 GS come with a three-year/unlimited kilometre warranty and carry a
service interval of 10,000 km/one-year – whichever earlier.
