Hymer, a leader in the production of vans in Germany, has just announced that their prototype of the DuoCar S motorhome is ready for production. The car is based on the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and boasts excellent solutions in terms of the internal distribution of space. Based on the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the car was shown to the public in 2017.

The atelier’s engineers did a lot of work, as a result of which an incredible number of proposals and requests were taken into account by those who love this kind of recreation.

Now, two years after the first presentation, our attention is offered to Hymer DuoCar S, and I must say that it looks damn cool. According to the company, the new DuoCar S is aimed at both single travelers and a young couple. The main goal was to create the most compact space, comfortable and spacious for two people, providing all the necessary luxury and convenience to stay on an autonomous journey for a long time (according to company representatives, this time can be equal to 9.6 days).

The machine in length occupies 5,918 mm and I must say, Hymer was able to intelligently use the available space with the help of a pull-out bed located in the center, which is a distinctive feature of the new product compared to other vans. Usually the bed is transversely at the back, creating a wider or more square back, but having a bed in the middle means the large bathroom can now occupy the back with built-in wardrobes and pull-out fittings. The bed also turns into a sofa when not in use, and an adjustable front table turns the sofa into a dining bench. Paired with swivel driver’s cab seats, and you have a great place to drink coffee and socialize.
