Chinese automotive giant SAIC showed its new model –
a family minivan, released under the Maxus sub-brand logo. The new “family”
Maxus G50 is available in five, six, seven and eight seats. Unlike its
predecessors, the novelty gets a front-wheel drive and semi-dependent rear
suspension.
The G50 reaches a length of 4,825 mm in length,
width, in turn, is 1,825 mm, height – 1,778 mm, wheelbase – 2,800 mm.
For the safety of the driver and passenger are
responsible immediately six airbags. In addition, the manufacturer has equipped
the new multimedia with a 12-inch touchscreen, all-round cameras, LED
spotlights, a panoramic roof, as well as emergency braking and tracking
systems.
Basic equipment Maxus G50 get a 163-horsepower
gasoline turbo 1.3 liters, combined with a six-speed manual transmission. The
engine is “older” – a pint and a half “turbo” with a return of 169 hp The
transmission here is a robotic box.
In the home market, the minimum price tag for a new
product starts at US$ 13,000, for cars with a robotized gearbox you will have to
pay five thousand dollars more. It is planned that the geography of
distribution of Maxus G50 will expand the Australian market.
