Radical is gearing up to introduce their all-new
Rapture at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Set to be unveiled on July 4th,
the Rapture is a street-legal sports car that promises to bring the “thrill of
real downforce from the race track to the road.”
The company is keeping details under wraps, but
hinted the model will have “phenomenal performance” and be their “most focused”
street-legal sports car. The company went on to say the Rapture will offer a
“pure and unapologetic attack on the senses” as it will benefit from the
company’s latest innovations in powertrain, aerodynamics and electronics
technology.
While the company was coy on details, the teaser
image reveals the Rapture will have a ventilated rear fascia with circular
taillights. We can also see a roll bar and a prominent rear wing. Little else is known about the car, but it
appears to follow in the footsteps of the SR8 and RXC Spyder.
Following the model’s unveiling on Thursday, the
Rapture will make its inaugural run up the hill at Goodwood. Radical isn’t exactly a household
name, but this won’t be their first street-legal model. That honor went to the
SR3 SL which was introduced in 2011.
